How to look great with a ruffled striped skirt and a white button down

Ruffles are everywhere this spring, from blouses to trousers to skirts. I must confess I’ve always loved ruffles since they always make you look glamorous. I’m quite obsessed lately with ruffled skirts, so when I found the one I’m wearing in this post, I couldn’t help myself and bought it. After showing to some friends my new ruffled skirt, they asked me how I would wear it. Possibilities are endless, but I prefer to pair a ruffled striped skirt like mine with a simple white button down shirt and complete the look with yellow block heels.

The skirt is from Loéil a Los Angeles-based online womenswear shop I discovered a few months back. All their garments are not only beautiful, but the brand is ethically committed to work with suppliers that treat their workers fairly. When I saw this ruffled skirt, I knew I had to buy it.

As you know, I have quite a few white shirts and blouses, but when I saw this one from another favorite brand of mine, Alice & Olivia, I knew it was the perfect match for my ruffled striped skirt. Best of all? It is on sale right now!

These yellow block heels look great with my ruffled striped skirt

I must confess that even though I love a pair of high heeled shoes, the block heel trend is quite a comfortable one. I fell in love with these yellow block heels just when I saw them at Michele Lopriore first US shop in Miami’s Brickell City Centre. They are super comfortable, you can wear them all day, and your feet won’t notice. Yellow is going to be everywhere this spring and summer seasons, so a pair of yellow heels are a great buy to keep up with the trend.
